After the ice had melted, we ventured out a whole 1.5 miles to JJ’s parents. They were babysitting the puppies again and we were anxious to see how they had grown. The puppies are now squinting at us although I am not sure if that just means their eyes were open or if they could actually see. They are starting to get a little independent of mom, who would occasionally run off to play (although I must say, she’s quite protective of her babies).

The puppy we had picked out last time is now the biggest puppy and he likes to throw his weight around a little bit. We had a lot of fun watching them start to interact with each other, even though they mostly ended up in a big pile. It seemed their goal was just to climb on top of each other til they found a cozy spot to get some shut eye – ahhhh, the life.

And then the grown-ups…
